Dakoli:B2B Ecommerce Platform

Overview

This is a B2B e-commerce project aimed at bringing Vietnamese products to the global market. Although platforms like Amazon and Alibaba have done well in this space, businesses in countries like Vietnam still face significant challenges when using these platforms ( including language barriers, complex policies, and payment issues). This is why Dakoli was created as a platform for Vietnamese businesses and individuals seeking to enter the global B2B market. We offer logistics solutions, business support, welfare services, payment solutions, and, most importantly, connections to consumers worldwide.

Based on the owner's requirements, the design team level, and the project timeline, we did not carry out other steps like evaluating or screening target users or analysing UX issues. Instead, we conducted competitor research, developed the Userflow, created Wireframes, and directly proceeded with the UI design. The designs were primarily based on the customer’s direct requirements, with minimal adjustments to the color layout.

Our project team consists of three members: two interns and one junior UX/UI designer. We are responsible for managing the project's three main platforms:Customer, SellerandAdministrator. For this project, my primary focus was on developing the administrator management system, with some involvement in other platforms. I will showcase only the UI work I did or contributed to and highlight key points.

Customer
For the admin platform, I focused on presenting charts and data most intuitively and effectively. Additionally, the admin requires tools to manage products, and advertising campaigns, and provide cross-platform support to both sellers and customers through communication channels like chat and direct phone calls.

This is the homepage interface I designed based on the customer's request. At the top of the dashboard page (including the others), I will add a prominent title that corresponds to the tab the user selects from the menu. This will help users clearly understand their current location, enhancing their navigation experience.

Moreover, I have organized the data into separate blocks, each displaying a real-time index. Users can interact with these blocks to track fluctuations in more detail. The chart below will automatically update according to the selected data block, and as shown the line chart illustrates the total revenue over time.

The data on the chart will not be fully displayed to avoid clutter and hard to track. Instead, users can hover over a point on the line chart to view the corresponding data, and they can pin multiple points for comparison as needed.

This is a tiered product management tool. The admin needs to assign each product to relevant categories, starting with four test categories. When a seller wants to list a product for sale, they must select the appropriate categories from the admin-created list, it will make it easier for buyers to find the products they need.

My idea is to organize categories from large to small, displayed from left to right. When a level 1 category is selected, the corresponding level 2 category will appear, and so on for the subsequent levels. Admins can edit or delete categories by clicking the edit icon next to each one. However, I don't allow users to bulk deletion, as it could significantly impact the platform's product categories.

I recommend a symmetrical layout for tables like this to improve readability and ease of data comparison for admins. Icons will replace tasks to save space and minimize distractions while tracking data. Some less essential tasks will also be hidden in the action column for a cleaner view.

In addition to providing pagination for each page, admins can customize the number of rows displayed on the table. This ensures that the table's content is presented clearly and effectively, adapting to different device sizes.

Dakoli regularly runs campaigns to promote social contributions. Consumers will not contribute directly but make small donations by purchasing products included in the campaign. Similarly, suppliers can choose to donate a portion of their profits from these products to support such campaigns.

For each campaign, I added a label showing the event's start and end times, creating a small, easy-to-see note. The donation amounts and number of donors are clearly recorded and published in the campaign section to ensure transparency.

The owner requires a feature to easily customize key sections of their website, such as the FAQ, banner, footer, logo, and more. To meet this need, I have developed a page that allows the owner to enter and edit information with ease. For example, the footer section on the left can be easily modified by typing text or adding a link or image. Other sections follow the same format as this example.
